I got these because I was tired of all my L-shaped and bone nose studs, and open ended nose rings, getting knocked out and lost to the ether. I heard that these corkscrew nose studs stay in a lot better.

i couldn't get them in. for weeks. I tried every once in a while, every day or so. I watched videos, I read Reddit posts, I did everything I could to try to figure out why I couldn't get these piercings in. the "hook" part of the corkscrew was too small and at a wrong angle to fit fully in my nose to twist it in.

one day, during some last ditch effort, I realised that if I hold my nostril out and hook it in from there, gloriously, it worked. I cannot tell you how happy and excited I was when these were finally in.

my experience is probably unique but definitely not rare. now that they're in, I haven't had any issues with them, they haven't fallen out, even while doing washing my face and doing skincare, which is how I always lose the majority of my piercings -- down the drain. I've had them in for a few weeks now and I love them so much. as soon as I figured out how to put them in, there was no going back. just be prepared to struggle with a learning curve.

(I have 13 facial piercings, and have had both my nostrils pierced for ~10 years).
